Adaptations to property

The sf group charitable fund will not donate in the area of home improvements as many of these are covered by statutory funding. In addition they usually cost substantially more than our £1000 maximum grant to individuals.
The trustees will continue to consider small cost alterations where these meet our criteria and there are exceptional circumstances involved.


Before Applying

Before submitting an online application form, please note, some of our criteria is:



  • We do not pay grants of cash, we only pay suppliers directly.

  • We do not pay for wages or saleries.

  • Where the request involves household items rather than specialist equipment, a letter of support must specify how these are related to ameliorating the effects of the disability rather than improving general family circumstances.

  • We are unable to reimburse cost for items already purchased.
