 Powered Wheelchair02.07.2010 Ruth is a full time wheelchair user suffering with Multiple Sclerosis.
She applied to the sfgroup charity for help funding a manual/powered wheelchair, for reasons which include comfort and independence.
Her old chair became unsuitable as her needs progressed.
Ruth wrote in with the following feedback:
I am writing with many thanks for your kind offer of financial assistance in helping me get funding towards a powered/manual wheelchair.
The chair I have chosen allows me to remain independent by using it manually but also to assist me as it can be powered when I am feeling tired or have long distance or slopes to manoeuvre along.
I have lived with MS for 14 years now and I plan to continue living as full a life as I am able to. Thank you again for your generosity.
